With the Restorer, surfaces come clean

Oct 28, 2021

The Restorer is a multi-purpose tool with attachments to buff, sand, grind, polish or clean just about any surface, according to inventor Robert Kundel Jr.

The Restorer features a 3.5-amp, 120-volt motor with a variable speed range of 1,000 to 3,200 rpm. It weighs about 4-1/2 lbs. and measures just over a foot long. It has a pistol grip, plus a front palm grip to work vertically or overhead.

It can be used on wood, metal, concrete and other surfaces that are flat or curved, wet or dry, Kundel says.

“This is about 10 to 20 times faster than an orbital sander. The nice thing about this is it doesn’t gum up sandpaper, so it eliminates consumables, and the attachments are very economical because they last so long.

“There are 18 different heads, from some real soft brushes to hardwire wheels, that can strip and clean reclaimed wood, while keeping the integrity of the wood through the process, so it still has that rustic appeal and character.”

The Restorer sells for $125 with three attachments (60- and 80-grit sanding sleeves, and a 46-grit rust/paint removal roller). The other attachments are sold separately for this multi-purpose tool.
